The joy of standing

After a month or two spent enjoying the extra few inches gained by kneeling (and gaining more and more confidence and balance in that pose), at 14 months, Jon’s explorations have attained new heights with the advent of “the standing position”.
While we’ve quietly been wincing at the thought of the increased reach that standing would provide, we were at least as delighted as Jon was the first time he pulled himself completely upright. 
It’s not a favourite pose yet, only being pressed into service when he’s feeling very confident or extremely curious, but there’s a lot of daily practice going on, and a definite feeling that those wobbly little legs are being taught a thing or two…
